Employment Eligibility Is Restricted

Hungary’s current employment-purpose residence rules restrict eligibility by nationality. Official guidance lists Georgia, Armenia and the Philippines for the standard residence permit for the purpose of employment under the current framework. Separate guest-worker rules were tightened further in June 2026.
